New Iowa law requires seat belts for passengers under 18 riding in the back seat

by Administrator 23. June 2010 08:30
A new Iowa law will require seat belts for all passengers who are under the age of 18 and riding in the back seat. The new statute will replace the old law, which only required children under the age of 11 to wear seat belts.

The law is intended to curb the number of passenger deaths for children who ride in the backseat. Passengers who break the law may face fines up to $500, and those fines may be covered by the passengers' parents.
