A bus accident taking an Iowa City High wrestling team to a meet crashed, injuring seven people.  The accident occurred at approximately 7 o'clock in the morning on December 4.

There were 14 wrestlers on the bus when it was involved in the accident on Highway 218 outside of Riverside.  The bus driver was also injured in the accident.  Victims were taken to Mercy Hospital and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment.  Officials believe that icy road conditions might be at least partially to blame for the accident.

A bus hit a bridge and crashed into a ditch Friday. According to police reports, the bus driver was en route to pick up kids from a camp when the accident occurred. 

When medical officials arrived, they took the driver to St. Luke's Hospital. Police would not speculate on the cause of the accident.
