Infant slipper socks recalled for choking hazard

by Administrator 18. May 2011 11:22

Slipper socks that were made for infants and manufactured by Meijer Inc. were recalled this week due to being potential choking hazards.

The socks with a bumble bee design and lady bug design were found to potentially be choking hazards because balls on the ends of the socks can become unattached and lodged inside a child's throat. The socks were sold in several stores throughout the country from June 2009 to March 2011. The recall was voluntary, and no injuries caused by the socks have been reported.

Consumers who have purchased the socks have been advised to return them to any Meijer store for a full refund.

If your child has choked because of a defective childcare product, please contact the Cedar Rapids choking hazard lawyers of the Pete Leehey Law Firm, P.C., at 319-294-4424.
