High chairs recalled for fall hazard

by Administrator 11. January 2012 12:32

Swedish furniture company, IKEA, has issued a recall on its "Antilop" plastic high chairs after it received eight complaints worldwide of children falling out of the chair after the belt restraint unexpectedly unclasped. Three children sustained minor injuries.

The high chair was sold exclusively in IKEA stores from August 2006 to January 2010. Nearly 169,000 were sold within the United States and Canada.

The "Antilop" chair came in white, blue, and red plastic seats with silver detachable legs. If you have purchased the recalled high chairs, stop using it immediately and contact the closest IKEA location about receiving a free belt restraint replacement.

If your child has been injured by a defective childcare product, contact the Cedar Rapids defective childcare product attorneys of the Pete Leehey Law Firm, P.C., at 319-294-4424.
