On Thursday afternoon, a collision involving an SUV and a bicycle occurred at Bever Ave and 14th St. Around 5pm, a 10 year old boy way riding his bicycle across Bever when he struck the side of the SUV and was run over by it.

The boy was first transported to St Luke's Hospital, then transferred to the University of Iow Hospitals by medical helicopter. The boy was listed in critical condition on Friday morning.
