Fort Dodge Man Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison for Car Crash

A Fort Dodge man was sentenced Monday to 15 years in prison on chages of vehicular homicide for the death of a Fort Dodge woman in November, 2008. Police reports indicate that the man was speeding when he lost control of his truck, which careened down an embankment after swerving off the road. The woman, who was sitting in the passenger seat, was thrown from the truck. In addition, two other passengers were injured.

According to authorities, the driver was drinking prior to the accident.
