Infants Suffer Minor Injuries from Bassinets

by Administrator 16. February 2011 13:23

500,000 Burlington Basket Co. bassinets have been recalled following ten reports of the bassinets collapsing. Two infants suffered minor bruising on their heads and shoulders due to the legs of the bassinets being locked into place, which caused the bassinets to collapse.

The Iowa manufacturers are giving people who have already purchased the bassinet a free kit which will instruct them how to lock the legs of the bassinet into place to prevent a collapse. However, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has warned parents to discontinue their use of the product.

If your child has suffered an injury because of a defective childcare product, please contact the Cedar Rapids defective childcare product attorneys of the Pete Leehey Law Firm, P.C. at 319-294-4424.
