Iowa egg recall expands due to salmonella contamination

The egg recall that was announced last week has recently expanded to nearly 380 million eggs nationwide due to salmonella contamination.

Wright County Egg in Galt, an Iowa livestock industry business, has been found to be where the contaminated eggs came from. Hundreds have gotten sick in a salmonella outbreak after consuming the eggs.

The company has shipped the eggs to wholesalers, food service companies and distribution centes in multiple states such as California, Missouri, Colorado, Illinois, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wiscinsin. The eggs were sold under many brand names including Albertsons and Lucerne.

If you or a loved one have become ill after consuming a defective food product, contact the Cedar Rapids food product lawyers of the Pete Leehey law firm by calling 319-294-4424 today.
