Man loses foot in train accident

An Illinois man has lost his foot after a train ran over it last week. The 52 year-old was trespassing on the tracks when he passed out with one leg over the rails. Local police believe alcohol was a factor, but toxicology tests results are not available.

Train engineers called the police to tell them they believed they ran over someone just before 11pm last Friday. A severed foot, just below the ankle, was found on the tracks and the man was further up the road. He is currently in critical condition at a local hospital.
