The Food and Drug Administration (”FDA”) has identified wheat gluten as the most likely source of the contamination in the recalled pet food which has been linked to the cause of several deaths of household pets. The FDA has issued a recall over 91 brands of wetdog and cat food in can and pouches. So far, the FDA has not included dry dog and cat food in the recall.
