Police have identified the driver in a rollover accident near downtown Cedar Rapids Wednesday.
According to officials with the Cedar Rapids Police Department, 44 year-old Stephan Horan was traveling south on Interstate 380 shortly after 9:00 p.m. Wednesday when the crash occurred. Police say Horan passed another vehicle and, while pulling back into the right lane, clipped the front bumper of the car. The impact caused Horan to lose control of the vehicle.
Horan was transported by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center following the crash. Horan is no longer listed as a patient at the hospital. He was ticketed for unsafe passing.
Traffic in the southbound lanes was reduced to one lane as response crews worked to clear the scene of the crash.
