Recall issued for insulated lunch boxes

A voluntary recall has been issued for California Innovations, Inc.'s Ci Sport three piece expandable, insulated lunch box set. The company received two reports of dogs ingesting the gel from the freezer gel packs; one dog died while the other was able to recover.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the freezer packs contain poisonous chemicals that can also harm humans. The lunch box set came with the freezer gel pack and an aluminum bottle. Costco, Leon Korol, and Cost U Less stores sold the product from May 2007 to September 2008.

Consumer who purchased the product can return it to Costco for a full refund.
