According to the Iowa State Patrol, a one-car crash last weekend left two Williams residents dead.
The accident took place early Saturday morning in Franklin County near Dows. A 40-year-old man lost control of his 1992 Mazda as he was traveling eastbound on Balsam Avenue. He ran off the road and into a roadside creek.
The 40-year-old man and his 14-year-old passenger were killed in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
