Two Central City men were arrested following a police chase Tuesday afternoon, according to authorities.

A Linn County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to pull over an SUV with expired license plates around 1 p.m. on Rollins Road north of Central City when the SUV took off at a high rate of speed.

The driver of the SUV turned around and fled towards the city, eventually becoming mired in a muddy field.

Two people then exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot before being caught.

Both men have been charged with possession of stolen property and drug paraphernalia.

Luckily, no one was injured in this chase. This is not always the case. If you have been the victim of a reckless driver, contact the Cedar Rapids reckless driving attorneys of the Pete Leehey Law Firm, P.C., at 319-294-4424.
