Two Central City men were arrested following a police chase Tuesday afternoon, according to authorities.
A Linn County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to pull over an SUV with expired license plates around 1 p.m. on Rollins Road north of Central City when the SUV took off at a high rate of speed.
The driver of the SUV turned around and fled towards the city, eventually becoming mired in a muddy field.
Two people then exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot before being caught.
Both men have been charged with possession of stolen property and drug paraphernalia.
