Wrongful Death Lawsuit Filed over Mason City Accident

by Administrator 6. January 2009 11:38

Dawn Lind of Mason City, Iowa, has filed a lawsuit against truck driver Mark Hulsing over an accident that occured in July 2008. According to the suit, Lind's late husband Richard was riding his bicycle through Mason City when Hulsing took a left turn without warning. His truck struck Richard, who did not survive the accident. Hulsing has been accused of several negligent acts, including failure to stop at a stop sign. The lawsuit also names Vernon Hulsing, the truck's owner, as a defendant. Lind and her attorney claim that Vernon Hulsing is also partially responsible for the accident because of his ownership of the vehicle.

The amount of compensation Lind is seeking has not been released. A date for the trial has not been set.

Losing a loved one to a negligent driver is a terrible experience. For information about personal injury law and how it relates to accidents, contact Cedar Rapids wrongful death lawyer Pete Leehey at 319-294-4424.
